Job DescriptionDirector of Football Video
Directs
all facets of video and technology for the Football program and utilized
facilities. First line of contact for
all football staff for anything technology related including all IT related
matters. Direct the filming all football events for evaluation and archiving
with the assistance of the assistant football video coordinator. Coordinate the
trade of game film abiding by ACC and NCAA CO-OP rules. Distributing film to
coaches, staff and student athletes using the Catapult Thunder and ThunderCloud
platforms for game preparation and offseason training. Maintaining all department hardware including
end-of-life plans. Establish a knowledge
base and provide instruction on all software and hardware. Manage all
technology/presentation needs at off-site events including team travel and
department events. Manage, repair and operate all equipment within the Fish
Field House and Chamberlin Practice Field for all Athletic events. Organize and upkeep complete BC Football
video library in Thunder including, practice, game and opponent material. Responsible for building edits, auto cut-ups,
and generating all NCAA and NFL film in the database. Dissolve and implement Pro Football Focus
(PFF) data on weekly self and opponent scout video. Responsible for practice facility and stadium
filming technology and equipment.
Planning and executing the entire film operation with full student staff
and multiple camera angles. Controls
video import plan for post practice and game production including away trips.
Coordinates with the Creative and Recruiting Departments supplying any video
needs for team highlights and individual packages. Responsible for the TV monitors that display
Football messaging in Yawkey Facility and Fish Field House. This position
travels with the team. Weekends and
nights are required at times.
Salary commensurate with relevant experience.
RequirementsBachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience in a
Division 1 FBS football or NFL environment or equivalent mix of education and
experience.
Robust experience with the Catapult Thunder and Vault Exchange software and the Adobe Creative Suite or comparable video
nonlinear editing software. Experience
working with Windows servers and Windows OS. Experience using simple database statements
and queries. Direct experience with vendor contracts for new technology
opportunities and troubleshooting outreach.
Preferred:
Master’s
Degree and 5 years in a Division 1 FBS football or NFL video office. Robust experience with the Catapult
Thunder and ThunderCloud platforms/Vault Exchange. Experience managing servers in a private network. Strong knowledge of
Adobe Creative Suite. Experience in SQL. 3+ years of experience managing Windows Server OS and Windows OS
