Responsible for the operation and management of the library, library staff and library resources.
Support the mission and goals of the College and the mission of the Ivy Tech libraries. Manage and evaluate the operation and delivery of library services. Establish regional library procedures and administer relevant College policies. Select, train, schedule, supervise, assign work to and evaluate library staff. Develop the library collection so that it is consistent with current and anticipated instructional program needs and complies with the College collection development policy. Develop and implement library instruction programs and materials. Prepare and submit required reports. Develop and manage library budgets. Identify and communicate new methods or trends in information technology. Participate on the Statewide Library Committee and other regional and statewide College committees as assigned. Participation in professional organizations is desirable. Participate in consortia and other cooperative efforts that serve Ivy Tech students and other community constituencies as possible. Minimum Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Library/Information Science. Three or more years of relevant work experience with two years supervisory experience. Working knowledge of emerging information technologies and demonstrated computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree preferably from an ALA accredited institution.
