Nomination à long terme (NLT) ouvrant l’accès à un engagement à durée indéterminée. Contrat initial de 5 ans. La personne retenue doit pouvoir enseigner en français et en anglais dans le domaine des sciences infirmières. Le nombre de cours enseignés par année sera équivalent à 7 cours (21 crédits) incluant l’enseignement théorique et la coordination de cours cliniques; au moins un cours sera assigné sous forme de tâches de soutien administratif contribuant à l’amélioration continue des programmes de formation. Début du contrat: 1 septembre 2025.
Long Term Appointment (LTA) leading to an open-ended contract. Initial 5-year contract. The successful candidate must be able to teach in French and English in the field of Nursing. The number of courses taught per year will be equivalent to 7 courses (21 credits) including teaching of theory courses as well as clinical courses coordination; at least one course shall be assigned in the form of administrative support duties contributing to the continuous improvement of the academic programs - Contract start date: September 1, 2025.

Description
Professeur à temps partiel - nomination à long terme (NLT) à durée déterminée de 5 ans avec possibilité de renouvellement. La personne sélectionnée doit être en mesure d’enseigner des cours cliniques et des cours théoriques au premier cycle.
Dans le cadre de cours cliniques, ce type de cours requiert :
- une étroite collaboration avec les professeurs qui enseignent des cours théoriques ;
- un encadrement et support aux instructeurs cliniques ;
- un encadrement et support aux étudiants inscrits au cours ;
- la capacité d’aider à résoudre les problèmes éthiques rencontrés en pratique;
- un encadrement des contenus enseignés en laboratoire, ainsi que des modalités d’évaluation des stages cliniques;
- de fortes capacités interpersonnelles dans le contexte de collaboration avec nos partenaires cliniques;
- une ouverture et une capacité d’innovation dans le cadre de l’enseignement clinique;
- une démonstration d’engagement au niveau de l’éducation continue;
- une bonne compréhension des compétences nécessaires pour l’entrée à la pratique.
Ce type de travail inclut des heures flexibles afin de répondre aux besoins cliniques.
Dans le cadre de cours théoriques, ce type de cours requiert :
- une bonne connaissance de la matière des cours ;
- une bonne connaissance des compétences associées au cours ;
- une étroite collaboration avec les professeurs qui enseignent d’autres sections du cours ;
- un encadrement et support aux étudiants inscrits au cours.
Ces deux types de cours demandent une participation à des comités curriculaires et une bonne connaissance des fondements pédagogiques des formations en sciences infirmières (théoriques et pratiques).
Contrat de 5 ans dont le nombre de cours enseignés par année sera équivalent à 7 cours (21 crédits). Début du contrat : 1er septembre 2025.

Qualifications requises / Required qualifications
- MSc en sciences infirmières ou dans un domaine connexe (ex. MEd)
- Pratique clinique récente (au cours des 5 dernières années) et/ou orientation clinique dans un cadre universitaire;
- Licence de l’OIIO active et en règle ou éligibilité à la pratique en Ontario - (la license doit être active à la date d'entrée en fonction).
- Peut enseigner en français ou en anglais
- Démontrer des aptitudes au niveau de la pédagogie clinique et théorique en sciences infirmières (ex. élaboration de plan d’apprentissage et encadrement des instructeurs cliniques et des étudiants);
- Être en mesure de gérer des conflits dans le cadre de ses fonctions ;
- Connaissances des lois qui ont attrait à la discrimination et des accommodements académiques en contexte d’apprentissage clinique.
- Une expérience d’enseignement dans un, ou plusieurs, des domaines suivants est requise: Santé mentale, Soins aiguës en médecine et chirurgie, Pédiatrie, Maternité, Santé Communautaire, Soins aux aînés.
- Démontre une participation au développement professionnel

- Un bilinguisme actif (anglais-français).
- PhD en sciences infirmières ou domaine connexe (interdisciplinaire)
- Que la pratique clinique récente (au cours des 5 dernières années) et/ou orientation clinique dans un cadre universitaire soient dans un contexte canadien.
- Expertise récente (moins de 5 ans) en matière de pratique clinique dans le domaine des soins infirmiers en maternité et à l'enfance
- Leader dans la création, l’élaboration d’objectifs et l’évaluation de compétences professionnelles dans le domaine des soins infirmiers;
- Certifications ou formations connexes, par exemple :
- Certification de l’AIIC
- Certification de l’ACESI (précepteur, simulation, etc.)
- Autres
- Démontrer des activités de scholarship en enseignement

Description
Part-time Professor - Long Term Appointment (LTA) with a 5-year term with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate must be able to teach both clinical and undergraduate theory courses.
In clinical courses, this type of work requires:
- close collaboration with faculty members teaching theory courses;
- mentorship and support for clinical faculty;
- guidance and support for the students enrolled in the course;
- help navigat ethical issues encountered in practice;
- oversight of content taught in the laboratory, as well as the evaluation of clinical courses;
- strong interpersonal skills in the context of collaboration with our clinical partners;
- an openness and capacity for innovation in clinical teaching;
- a demonstrated commitment to continuing education;
- a working understanding of entry to practice competencies.
This type of work includes flexible hours to meet clinical needs. In the context of theory courses, this type of work requires:
- working knowledge of course material;
- working understanding of competencies associated with assigned courses;
- close collaboration with professors who teach other sections of assigned courses;
- support and guidance to students enrolled in the course.
Both types of courses require participation in curriculum committees and a good knowledge of the pedagogical foundations of nursing education (theoretical and practical).

Required qualifications
- MSc in nursing or related field (e.g., MEd).
- Recent clinical practice (within the last 5 years) and/or a clinical focus in an Academic Nursing setting.
- Active or eligible CNO license in good standing - (needs to be active on the start date).
- Ability to teach in French or English
- Demonstrate knowledge in clinical and theoretical nursing pedagogy (e.g., development of learning plans and mentoring of clinical instructors and students).
- Ability to manage conflict in the context of the role.
- Knowledge of laws pertaining to discrimination and academic accommodations in the clinical learning environment.
- Teaching experience in one or more of the following areas is required:
- Mental Health, Acute and Critical Medical/Surgical, Pediatrics, Maternity, Community Health, Care of the Older Adult.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development

- PhD in nursing or related field (ex. Interdisciplinary)
- Leader in the development of objectives and evaluation of professional competencies in the field of nursing
