Course Lecturer: INFS 619 - Information Behaviour and Resources (3 credits)
McGill’s School of Information Studies Master’s program (https://www.mcgill.ca/sis/home) is seeking a Course Lecturer to teach INFS 619 Information Behaviour and Resources.
Course Description: Introduction to information behaviour, information needs assessment at individual, organizational and community levels, information search strategies, user-focused information resources and services.
The course lecturer(s) should have successfully completed Information Studies courses at the graduate level. The candidate(s) will have completed the course (or an equivalent one) and taught graduate courses in Information Studies. The candidate(s) should have at least 3 years of professional experience in information services, including experience and proficiency with a range of information search systems and bibliographic databases. Candidate should provide evidence of teaching effectiveness as shown by course evaluations. A Master’s degree in Information Studies (or equivalent) is required.

Salary will be commensurate with the salary scale for Course Lecturers, as described in the McGill Course Lecturers and Instructors Union Collective Agreement ( https://www.mcgill.ca/hr/files/hr/mcliu_collective_agreement_-_final_version_for_printing_0.pdf).
