About the Role
The Associate Director, Student Experience is responsible for establishing integrated business plans and a client service model, and leading systems and resource allocation, for both the Experiential Learning and Student Engagement & Development units. The Associate Director directs, develops and facilitates the strategic planning, approval, implementation, and assessment of experiential education curriculum and co-curriculum, programs, and services for faculty and all undergraduate students to support their academic and professional transition, exploration, and development. The role develops and maintains relationships with faculty as well as local/regional/national/international industry partners and employers, to support and generate experiential opportunities and initiatives that propel innovation in teaching and reinforce students' academic, professional, and leadership development for their overall career preparation. The role develops strategies for the collection of program metrics and tracks, monitors, and reports on activities to achieve the goals and objectives of the faculty.

Qualifications
Master's degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related discipline, and three years of experience in management, student and career development, experiential learning design and/or teaching experience at a secondary or post-secondary level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of higher education theories and practices, such as student and career development, experiential learning and programming, and the unique needs of undergraduate students.
- Excellent knowledge of best practices and research on experiential learning.
- Excellent knowledge of adult learning, educational theory principles of effective practice in undergraduate teaching; course, curriculum, and program development .
- Excellent public speaking, interpersonal, and communication (verbal, written, and presentation) skills.
- Excellent client service, interpersonal, organizational, facilitation, training, and teamwork skills.
