Position Summary:
UCAs will assist 1st year medical and dental students in anatomy dissections (12h). UCAs should demonstrate an ability to teach human anatomy in the anatomy lab and be able to facilitate student dissections of the thorax. UCAs will also participate in the supervision and facilitation of anatomy review time (4 hours) . Six (6) laboratory sessions (2 hours each) are part of the FMD curriculum. Qualifications:
Having taken and passed ANAT 323, or an equivalent Clinical Neuroanatomy course, is required. Extensive knowledge of human neuroanatomy and good communication skills are essential. Must be comfortable leading demonstrations of cadaveric specimens and guiding students with applying neuroanatomical concepts in the context of clinical vignettes. Prior teaching experience in a lab setting is an asset.
Effective communication skills in English (spoken and written) are essential.
