About the Role
Provides day-to-day technical oversight for the computing and audio-visual equipment and systems activities located in lecture theatres, classrooms, meeting rooms, and other areas on campus by acting as the first point of contact between clients (e.g., faculty, instructors, teaching assistants, students, staff, and external clients) and IT Client Services. Troubleshoots and maintains audio-visual and computing systems in theatres, classrooms, labs, and other areas on campus. Assists in the coordination of computer system upgrades in theatres and classrooms.

Qualifications
High school graduation and two years of post-secondary education in computing and/or audio-visual technology. Certified Technology Specialist. 2 years of experience. An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study ad experience is acceptable.
- Good knowledge of computers, operating systems (Windows/OSX/Linux), and peripheral equipment.
- Good knowledge of common software applications for web browsing, office productivity, email, and antivirus.
- Ability to resolve routine software problems.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repair of audio-visual equipment and computer systems hardware (i.e. broken lamp replacement, replacing microphone components etc.).
