Job Description:Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Principal Giving & Campaign Director, the Director, Women’s Philanthropy will work across University Advancement to enhance philanthropy from women (alumnae, parents, friends, faculty & staff). The director will collaborate with colleagues throughout University Advancement on establishing the strategic direction for our most engaged major and principal giving prospects, including those involved with top volunteer committees and will manage a selective portfolio of emerging major and principal giving prospects. The director will develop programs to educate and engage our constituents, including current students, about the impact of women’s philanthropy and will identify potential new candidates for key volunteer roles to enhance their engagement and giving. The director will collaborate with annual and leadership giving on developing strategy for membership/leadership giving/participatory giving appeals and will build connections across affinity and other volunteer groups (i.e., Council for Women of Boston College, the Wall Street Council, West Coast Tech, the Board of Regents, Reunion volunteers, Campaign volunteers, the Board of Trustees, etc.) to optimize engagement and fundraising effectiveness.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The salary range for this position is listed below with the final salary based on various factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and internal equity considerations.
$144,100 - $180,100
RequirementsThis position requires a bachelor’s degree or higher and 7-10 years of progressively responsible development experience with developing and executing programs, and a proven track record of individual success in the cultivation and stewardship of donors at the six- and seven-figure level.
To be successful, the Director must possess intellectual rigor and curiosity, the ability to bridge sectors, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to understand the needs of- and work equally effectively with university officials and staff colleagues, and the ability to manage time and conflicting priorities.
Must be a team player who is highly motivated and dedicated to the goals of advancing higher education and have an appreciation for Jesuit Catholic education and the goals and values of Boston College.
