Position SummaryUnder the general supervision of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (DIA) Women's Basketball Director of Operations and coaching staff, direct and supervise all UCLA Women's Basketball video operations. Ensure every practice, home game, and road game is filmed and uploaded. Prepare and break down all opponents' games, UCLA games, and practice film for use by the Head Coach and Assistant Coaches. Create and edit each opponent's plays and personnel before every game for the team to watch. Oversee scout film and make sure all opponents' games and UCLA games are downloaded from Synergy and available for the Coaching staff to review. Manage and maintain all the video equipment, computers, software, and work closely with Sports Code to continually update and upgrade the basketball program's video capabilities. Hire and supervise a staff of Video Interns as needed with the assistance of DOBO. Oversee all basketball-related activities during summer camps. Requires traveling with the team and attending every practice and home game. Evenings and weekend hours are required.

QualificationsAbility to operate and perform basic maintenance on a wide range of audio-visual equipment including: video cameras, video projectors, monitors, sound equipment, mixers, speakers, lavalier microphone, LCD projectors, computer programs related to sports editing, and a variety of cables and connectors (Required)
Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coaching staff and administrative staff. (Required)
Knowledge of and proficiency in using Synergy, Sports Code and Just Play as well as Adobe Premiere and/or Final Cut (Required)
Ability to form effective working relationships with students and members of diverse academic, administrative, and technical disciplines. (Required)
Ability to work in an environment characterized by constant interruptions and distractions. (Required)
Effective listening skills to ascertain communicated problems and to assist coaches and staff, carry out department related tasks, and respond to clarify procedures. (Required)
Ability to routinely work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends. (Required)
Expectation of traveling with the team for road contests, Big Ten and NCAA Tournaments (Required)
Ability to lift up to 75-100 pounds to transport equipment from storage room to various working locations. (Required)
Possession of valid California Driver's License and ability to drive University vehicles and follow all policies and procedures related to the use of those vehicles. (Required)
Detailed knowledge of how to patch necessary audio/video connectors to existing equipment for use and duplication. (Required)
Detailed knowledge of safe work practices related to the handling, transporting, setting-up and striking of instructional media/audio-visual equipment. (Required)
