Position Description:
The McGill University Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Division of Diagnostic and Interventional Abdominal Imaging in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences invites applications for a full-time position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical) based at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). The professorial rank will be determined according to the candidate’s qualifications and experience. This is a Contract Academic Staff position and does not confer eligibility for tenure.

The successful candidate will be appointed to clinical practice at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC)—a major teaching hospital affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Canada’s internationally renowned McGill University, located in the vibrant and multicultural city of Montreal.
The MUHC hospital houses four 3T MRI systems, five 1.5T MRI systems, two PET-CT scanners, 10 CT scanners and 30 ultrasound units. It comprises approximately 800 beds and performs more than 500,000 radiologic procedures per year. Exceptional research opportunities exist both within the department and across departments within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and with other faculties in the University.
Job Duties:
The successful candidate will be involved in the academic activities of the McGill University Department of Diagnostic Radiology. The incumbent will be responsible for clinical, teaching, and research activities in US, CT, MRI, and non-vascular interventions; they will join the Abdominal Imaging section at the MUHC, which currently includes six full-time body imaging faculty members and seven part-time members.
The incumbent will join an academic and high-volume comprehensive Division of Diagnostic and Interventional Abdominal Imaging and be expected to engage and develop and academic clinical practice at the MUHC, providing excellent clinical teaching and supervision to residents and medical students and pursuing scholarly activities in advancing clinical care or clinical research.
The successful candidate will be expected to be actively involved in relevant aspects of McGill’s academic mission (e.g., research, teaching, supervision of students and residents, and involvement in academic and administrative committees).

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Candidates must:
Hold an MD or MD/PhD degree (or equivalent);
Be certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent);
Have completed formal fellowship training in Abdominal Imaging and Nonvascular Intervention;
Be eligible for licensure to practice medicine from the Collège des Médecins du Québec;
Have a demonstrable interest in innovation with the potential to become an outstanding clinician, teacher, and scholar in the fields of Abdomino-pelvic US, CT, MRI, and non-vascular interventions;
Possess leadership experience and administrative skills will be considered an asset;
Bilingual language skills (French and English) are preferred, or a commitment to acquire the necessary language skills to practice medicine in Quebec. Candidates should be able to interact in English and in French with patients, families, and health care professionals.
