Position Description: The Department of Physics and Astronomy, within the Faculty of Science, invites applications for Fall 2025 Term Sessional Instructor(s).
The successful candidates will have responsibilities for lecture instruction and any other associated duties for these courses offered during the Fall 2025 session.
PHYS 211 - Mechanics (In-person)
Introductory Newtonian particle mechanics and rigid bodies in rotational equilibrium: Kinematics, Newton's laws, conservation of momentum and mechanical energy.
PHYS 365 - Acoustics, Optics and Modern Physics (for students in Engineering; In-person)
Wave motion as applied to acoustics and physical optics. Wave-particle duality applied to light and matter, electron energy levels of atoms and crystals.
PHYS 698 ¿ Special Topics (In-person)
The topic for this module is: ionospheric physics.

Fall 2025 Term Dates:
- Fall Term: Monday, August 25, 2025 ¿ Wednesday, December 24, 2025

- End of Classes: Friday, December 5, 2025
Qualifications:
The successful candidate(s) should hold a MSc or PhD in Physics or a closely related field and have a demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness and engagement with students.
