Position SummaryUnder the general supervision of the Senior Director, Fan Experiences & Marketing, the Assistant Director of Marketing will be involved in the department’s marketing efforts by handling the brand marketing, fan engagement, promotion, and advertising for sports and programs as assigned, in addition to special events surrounding UCLA Athletics.

Qualifications Two years of experience working in college athletics, professional sports, or marketing/communications field.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Demonstrated budgetary skills. (Required)
Demonstrated skills in conceptualization, development, implementation and review of multi-dimensional corporate and marketing, sales, and promotional programs. (Required)
Ability to supervise UCLA staff members, student work force and a diverse group of volunteers. (Required)
Ability to establish or analyze and improve current cooperative working relationships with donors, ticket holders, University faculty, staff and students and members for the general public and corporate contacts. (Required)
Demonstrated creative abilities in generating innovative ideas and exploring alternative approaches and solutions to problems. (Required)
Working knowledge and experience with men’s and women’s athletic events and
procedures. Working knowledge of conference and NCAA Championships, including rules.

Ability to prioritize and complete assignments in a manner accurately reflecting the relative importance of job responsibilities without constant supervision. (Required)
Ability to work under time constraints and with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions and distractions. (Required)
Skill in interacting effectively with coaches, student-athletes, parents, administrators, staff, vendors and the general public. (Required)
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and Adobe Photoshop. (Required)
Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and training. (Required)
