Physician Assistant Program - Admissions Officer Description
The PA Admissions Officer plays a vital role in supporting the admissions and recruitment functions of the South College Physician Assistant Program. In this position you will manage CASPA applications, coordinate interviews, communicate with prospective students, and assist with outreach events and matriculation processes. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to engage with a diverse population of applicants and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Admissions Support:
- Process and track CASPA applications for the PA program.
- Coordinate applicant interviews and communicate admissions status.
- Maintain accurate records of applicant data and statuses.
- Serve as the first point of contact for PA admissions inquiries.
- Plan and execute recruitment and outreach activities, including virtual and in-person info sessions.
- Support data collection and reporting for accreditation and assessment.
- Develop admissions materials and maintain communication with prospective applicants.
- Provide administrative support for the PA program as assigned.
Other Duties:
- Maintain professional and courteous communication with faculty, students, and external guests.
- Adhere to institutional policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director in support of program operations.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, on ground position in Orlando, FL. Remote/hybrid work is not available. Evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required, based on program needs.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and data management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle detail-oriented tasks.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in higher education admissions or student services.
- Familiarity with CASPA or other centralized application services.
