Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Coordinator of Recreational Sports and Youth Programs will provide planning, coordination, and implementation to the department’s intramural sports program and assist with youth-oriented programming which includes but is not limited to recreational youth summer and day camps. This position also assists with reservation processes, event oversight, basic athletic field preparation tasks, and basic assistance to the Esports lounge and program.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree is required. Degree in Recreation Management or a related field is preferred. Master's Degree preferred.
Experience: One year of supervisory experience. Graduate Assistantship may count toward experience.
Licensure & Certifications: First Aid, CPR and AED Instructor Certified, or willing to obtain within 3 months of hire. Certification in officiating a team sport is preferred. Youth Camp provider certification preferred.

Job Duties:
- 30% - Oversee the design, implementation, management, delivery, and evaluation of assigned Campus Recreation programs; Intramural Sports, Student-led Sport Organizations, and assist in this with Youth Programs, events, and Esports programs. - (Essential)
- 30% - Oversee the onboarding, supervision, and development of part-time student and seasonal non-student employees, interns, and volunteers who support Intramural Sports, Student-Led Sport Orgs, and Youth programs and operations. - (Essential)
- 30% - Oversee equipment purchases and development of policies and procedures related to risk management and onsite supervision of Intramurals, Student Led Sports Organizations and assist in this with Youth Programs. This position will assist with scheduling and sustainability of events, facilities, fields, and equipment by supporting standards of safety and guiding preventative maintenance. - (Essential)
- 10% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - (Essential)
