Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Department of Computer Science & Information Technology at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for an opening as a One-Year Visiting Assistant Professor in Computer Science, commencing August 1, 2025.
Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field from an accredited is required. ABD applicants may be considered but must have a Ph.D. (verified by official transcripts) at the time of appointment. Candidates with specialties in Digital Forensics/Cybersecurity and Database Systems are especially encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include a 4/4 teaching load on-campus and/or online in undergraduate courses in a range of department areas such as core curriculum, service, seminars, and workshops. The successful candidate may also assist in promoting the Dept. of Computer Science & Institutional Technology programs as well as support the initiatives of the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field from an accredited is required. ABD applicants may be considered but must have a Ph.D. (verified by official transcripts) at the time of appointment. Appropriate proficiency in oral and written English is required.
