Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Digital Experience & Web Content Strategist supports the planning, development, and execution of EKU’s digital content and web strategy to advance enrollment, student engagement, and retention efforts. This role ensures EKU’s digital presence is student-centered, accessible, and aligned with institutional priorities. Reporting to the Executive Director of Digital Experience & Student Success Marketing, the strategist partners across campus units to deliver engaging digital journeys that improve brand affinity and streamline student touchpoints from inquiry through enrollment and beyond.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Web Design, Communications, Marketing, or related field. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in web content strategy, UX design, or digital communications—preferably in higher education or a mission-driven organization. Demonstrated experience using content management systems (e.g., Omni CMS, WordPress), HTML/CSS basics, and Google Analytics. Familiarity with SEO, digital accessibility, and responsive design.
Experience collaborating across teams and managing multiple content streams simultaneously. Working knowledge of CRM platforms like Slate. Experience with A/B testing, heatmaps, or user behavior tracking tools.

- 40% - Develop, curate, and manage digital content for EKU’s enrollment and student-facing websites, ensuring it is accurate, timely, and aligned with brand and accessibility standards. Collaborate with campus partners and content owners to update pages, maintain information accuracy, and reflect the student experience. Apply SEO best practices, metadata structuring, and UX design principles to enhance content visibility and user engagement. Support CMS maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate content approvals in partnership with IT and Communications & Brand Management. - (Essential)
- 30% - Monitor site analytics, user behavior, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in digital experience across desktop and mobile platforms. Conduct routine audits to ensure accessibility compliance, responsive design, and cross-platform usability. Collaborate with design and technical teams to enhance page layouts, calls to action, and digital navigation in support of recruitment and student success goals. - (Essential)
- 20% - Support multichannel digital campaigns, including web landing pages, dynamic content, and personalized web experiences integrated with CRM workflows. Build and optimize campaign-specific web experiences that complement email, SMS, and social media outreach. Partner with marketing and enrollment teams to test content variations and report on engagement outcomes. - (Essential)
- 10% - Participate in cross-departmental meetings to align digital strategy with enrollment cycles, orientation, registration, and financial aid communications. Serve as a liaison between the Digital Experience team and academic units to coordinate content needs and updates. Manage timelines, content calendars, and reporting for digital initiatives. - (Essential)
