The Coordinator of Thesis Projects plays a key role in supporting the Assistant Dean of Research in managing and enhancing the thesis project process for all master’s students in the department. This position is responsible for academic coordination, course development and revision, instructional quality support, and teaching. The Coordinator ensures thesis-related activities run efficiently and align with academic and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities & Outcomes
50% of Time: Thesis Project Oversight & Academic Support
- Support the Assistant Dean of Research with course revisions and content updates each semester.
- Coordinate adjunct onboarding and provide ongoing support and feedback to instructional staff.
- Maintain and update instructional and support materials for faculty and students, as directed.
- Coordinate all poster selection, creation, and submission processes for professional conferences.
- Participate in all departmental thesis defense presentations each semester.
50% of Time: Teaching & Instructional Quality
- Teach a minimum of 5 in-load courses per academic year.
- Regularly instruct sections of ABA 572 and ABA 698.
- Assist the Assistant Dean of Research and the Director of Quality Assurance in evaluating instructional quality and related educational deliverables.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Required:
- Completion of master-level coursework in behavior analysis.
- Broad knowledge of behavior analysis principles and applications.
- Experience in training or mentoring staff.
- Strong professional writing and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated reliability and organizational abilities.
Preferred:
- Doctoral degree in behavior analysis or related field.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or eligibility.
- Experience with academic research, publications, and conference presentations.
- Prior experience evaluating instruction and educational products.
