The Onboard Advisor and Operations Coordinator will have several key duties involving
(primarily) the onboard advising of new students and the ongoing analysis of data on a wide
variety of quality indicators. This position will report to the Senior Director of Advising,
Credentialing, and Accreditation and will assist with all metrics and analyses needed for
governing bodies. In addition, this person will work closely with the Senior Director of Online
Instruction and Training and the Director of Quality Assurance for metrics associated with
course quality, instructional effectiveness, and the development of targeted trainings and
initiatives. Finally, this individual will work closely with the Associate Dean of Research and the
Associate Director of Research (Doctoral Program) to track, assess, and summarize research
activities and needs within the department.
Key Outcomes
34 % of Time: Onboard Advisor
- Orient all new students to the program, to the learning tools and platforms needed within the program, and to the degree requirements and expectations
- Develop instructional aides for students in navigating learning tools and in achieving key tasks as a student in the program
- Conduct assessments of student success within the first semester
- Develop pre-modules for students to enhance initial success in the program
33% of Time: Instructor in MS Program
- This position has an in-load of 5 courses. These courses will be assigned in alignment with program/departmental needs.
33 % of Time: Data analytics for program recruitment, retention, quality, assessment, and management
- In an ongoing manner and in coordination with the efforts of the Senior Director of Online Instruction and Training and with the Director of Quality Assurance, collects and analyzes data on course metrics, student success, quality of instruction, and attainment of quality outcomes.
- In an ongoing manner and in coordination with the efforts of the departmental administration, develops and manages methods for analyzing a wide variety of data regarding student success, course characteristics, instructional quality, productivity of the department, and recruitment/retention.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Minimum of 3 -5 years of experience.
- Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis required.
- Specialized training and/or certification in data management, data analysis, and data modelling required.
- Experience in advising and instruction in higher education is required.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required.
