Job DescriptionResponsible for the daily management of all equipment
activity for the football program in the Department of Athletics. These responsibilities include the management
of the resource allocation provided by the department’s equipment and apparel
provider (New Balance), inventory maintenance and management, developing and
implementing equipment room policies and procedures and supervision of one
full-time intern (as well as 4-5 student workers). Additionally, this position manages the set-up, break down, and running of practice on a daily basis based upon what the
Head Football Coach deems appropriate. This position also manages the logistics
surrounding receiving shipments of product and distributing equipment to teams
(including visiting teams) and administrative department.

Salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements*A bachelor's degree is required.
*Minimum of four years of progressively
responsible experience in equipment operations.
*Experience with inventory management
*Knowledge of effective
laundry practices
*Effective
verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
*Demonstrated equipment operations
background to include inventory maintenance and management
*Excellent organizational skills
*Ability to work with equipment
suppliers, coaches, staff and student-athlete clients regarding apparel and
equipment issues
*Able to manage people and resources in
a collaborative team-based environment.
*AEMA membership and/or
AEMA certification preferred
*Must be customer service oriented.
*Flexible work hours; must be able to work nights and weekends as necessary.
*Ability to work effectively with college student athletes, athletic staff, University personnel and Alumni.
*Proficient computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite and File Maker Pro.
*This position is required to perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with all NCAA, ACC and institutional rules and regulations.
Preferred:
*Prior experience in a Division I football equipment
operations setting preferred.
* Masters is preferred.
