Description
The Assistant Coach will be responsible for many administrative and coaching responsibilities related to maintaining a successful Women’s Volleyball program. All responsibilities are expected to be performed in alignment with the department vision of being a leading institution in performance and meaningful student-athlete experience, and consistently demonstrating valued behaviors of respect, grit, constant growth, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in any assigned administrative or coaching responsibilities
- Clearly understand the operational plan of the head coach for the successful running of the team
- Participate in meetings with the coaching staff, athletic trainers, and university staff to ensure coherent communication throughout the organization
- Assist with recruitment activities for student athletes
- Assist with fundraising opportunities for the team
- Help with practice planning and implementation, as well as attend practices to help with coaching
- Work with department administrators in respective areas to ensure student-athletes are meeting their responsibilities
- Travel with team, including being able to drive through Life University process to be able to drive when needed
- Assist in all efforts to promote the academic success of student-athletes
- Submit worked hours in payroll system of record weekly and on time

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Must be a current Life University Student or accepted to the Fall term
- Relevant playing/coaching experience in Volleyball
- Must stay enrolled as a student at Life University (summer term enrollment not required)

Working Conditions
- Work performed in various locations in and around the Life University campus, including athletic fields and gymnasiums.
- Travel required.
- Flexibility to accommodate schedules of athletic events.
