We invite qualified candidates to apply for our Instructional Coordinator Theatre Center Stage position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in creative and artistic programming by selecting and calendaring shows for the theatre-Center Stage credit program. Ensure copyright approvals for each show and collaborate on the design and printing of programs and marketing materials.
- Coordinate with performing arts faculty and staff on the administration of Center Stage Productions and programs, including hiring, ticket information and reconciliation, and general operations.
- Coordinate student, faculty, and staff stakeholders for Center Stage, including fundraising, building, costumes, etc.
- Manage production and technical budgets.
- Oversee equipment management, including SCC inventory, sets, props, costumes, and tools.
- Supervise the build for Center Stage sets.
- Coordinate practicum design and tech hours for students, focusing on Center Stage productions.
- Collaborate with the Academic Program Coordinator on the Theater-Center Stage credit curriculum.
- Teach Theatre-Center Stage courses as needed.
- Direct and design productions as needed.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of industry standards, rules, and regulations, including comprehensive knowledge of equipment, training procedures, testing skills, test preparation, and practice protocols.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals from diverse multicultural backgrounds. Provide excellent customer service and perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Lead discussions, facilitate meetings, and encourage the adoption of open education resources (OER) and classroom materials.
- Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals from diverse multicultural backgrounds. Perform related duties as assigned and maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Serve as a college ambassador, valuing teamwork, accountability, and professionalism. Provide excellent customer service both internally and externally to the college.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Master's degree in Theater, Fine Arts, or a related field, plus five years of experience in supporting discipline. Three years of teaching experience in Theatre courses are preferred.
- A combination of education and experience.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Generally, reports to the Dean; but may vary upon organizational need.
