Plymouth State University is seeking a Full-Time Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. This position must be CSCS certified and will service 25 varsity athletic teams as well as work with the academic programs to teach classes and mentor interns. The Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, leading and overseeing all aspects of the strength and conditioning Laboratory at the University. This will include extensive collaboration with the Athletic Director, Administration, Academic Disciplines, University Advancement and community partners. The Director will collaborate closely with the PSU Athletic team and Academic Affairs. The Strength and Conditioning Laboratory will be a state of the art regional resource and will be part of the Health and Human Enrichment Cluster leadership team.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Work in collaboration with the Athletics and academic programs to:
Envision, establish, lead and manage all aspects of a state of the art Strength and Conditioning Lab through collaboration with University Advancement, Athletics, Academic Affairs and external stakeholders
Develop and oversee a strength and conditioning program for PSU athletes
Create and establish a strength and conditioning institution that will educate undergraduates and graduate students to work inclusively with many groups of students and community members including those with individualized needs.
Develop and supervise clinical experiences for students from multiple academic programs.
Provide leadership in developing cluster initiatives that bring faculty, staff, students and community partners together to address strength and conditioning needs of NH citizens
Develop summer programming that meets PSU and community needs; develops new revenue streams and supports the Integrated Cluster vision and includes rich opportunities for PSU undergraduate and graduate students to develop skills valuable to their post-graduate success.
Actively support the PSU student retention and graduation goals through active engagement of students at all levels in meaningful activities related to strength and conditioning.
