Position Summary:
This is a tenured-track faculty position. The Department seeks a strong teacher-scholar who will share faculty enthusiasm for excellence in undergraduate teaching, student engagement, and service to both the campus and broader college-wide community. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic academic discipline and to contribute meaningfully to the development of student success.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in psychology or master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Psychology.
Counseling and educational psychology courses cannot be counted unless the course content is the same as a course normally found in a graduate psychology program. One or two related counseling or educational psychology courses may be considered if the remaining graduate psychology program content is strong.
Preferred Qualifications:
The successful candidate for each position will have one or more of the following preferred qualifications: demonstrated instructional experience at the post-secondary level at an accredited community or state college; experience with online/distance learning education; instructional knowledge of CANVAS or another learning management system (LMS); and demonstrate a strong commitment to students through high quality teaching and learning.

To be considered, applicants must have been awarded the qualifying degree and/or qualifying graduate semester hours. A faculty screening committee will analyze the strength of your application materials. Applicants with a qualifying degree from an educational institution outside the United States and Canada must submit a foreign credential evaluation from one of the members of the National Association of Credential Evaluations Services (website: www.naces.org). To complete your application, you must attach a copy of your graduate academic transcripts from an accredited institution of higher education, showing attainment of at least the minimum qualifications. If the transcript has not been updated to show the awarding of the required degree, applicants must bring written documentation from the educational institution showing when the degree was awarded.
Pay Rate:
Faculty members will be assigned to the appropriate salary grade based on the contract with the faculty union.
- Grade 2: Master’s Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in field $50,421.94
- Grade 2+: Master’s Degree with 30 graduate semester hours in the field $53,004.11
- Grade 1: PhD in major field $55,587.43
Up to four salary steps may be applied to the starting salary based on experience.
