Job DescriptionThis individual is responsible for assisting in the supervision of the Plumbing, HVAC, PM and the EMS shops within the Mechanical Shop establish and maintain a positive and cooperative working relationship with members of Facilities Services, Facilities Management and the campus community. This individual is also responsible for clear and effective communication with the University community regarding work and schedules for work. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of growth, excellent analytical and communication skills along with the ability to make decisions. Must be customer service oriented and must possess the ability to communicate effectively with administrators, trades personnel, students and other shop customers.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $102,150 to $127,700; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements*A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
*Requires a minimum of five years of recent supervisory experience in Mechanical trade.
*A minimum of a Commonwealth of Massachusetts Master Plumber license required.
*A proven track record with continuous professional development in Mechanical field must be demonstrated.
*Familiarity with computer programs, such as MS Word, Excel and File maker Pro and a demonstrated aptitude to learn computer programs used by the University is a must.
*A current valid driver's license is required.
Preferred:
*Experience in a Union environment and in Higher Education is preferred.
