Position SummaryThe UCLA California Center for Population Research (CCPR) is seeking a Grants and Projects Coordinator to lead the administration of our research and training grants. In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate closely with faculty, manage grant submissions and compliance, coordinate events, and amplify CCPR’s research through strategic communications and outreach.

Qualifications3-5 YEARS of progressively responsible experience in project or research management, academic program coordination, or research administration. (Required) And
Demonstrated experience with program planning, events coordination, and cross-functional team leadership. (Required) And
Experience developing communications materials, managing websites or newsletters, and interfacing with external stakeholders or media representatives. (Required)
Experience with IRB, DUA, or other university compliance protocols. (Preferred)
Experience with UCLA systems (e.g., BruinBuy, UCPath, Concur, JDExpert) (Preferred)
Strong writing and editorial skills, including the ability to translate technical research into accessible summaries for diverse audiences. (Required)
Familiarity with federal funding mechanisms and requirements (e.g., NIH, NSF), proposal development, and research compliance. (Required)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google documents/sheets/forms, project management tools (Asana), and communication platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, BlueSky); graphic design or website management and (Required)
Excellent interpersonal skills, facilitating and building relationships with faculty and students; university administrators; external stakeholders; and external advisory board members (Required)
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a complex environment. (Required)
Familiarity with demographic, social science, or public health research. (Preferred)
Background in science communication or public engagement with research. (Preferred)
Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal AffiliationsBachelor's Degree Bachelor’s degree in public administration, social sciences, communications, or a related field (Required) And
Master's Degree In related area / equivalent experience (Preferred)
