Supportive, collaborative team with a hybrid working environment based at Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde
As a Senior UX Designer, you’ll lead a student-centred approach to UX/UI design, transforming current-state journeys into intuitive user flows and wireframes that support the launch of new marketing automation technology (Salesforce). Your work will enhance the ‘attract’ and ‘consider’ stages of the prospective student journey, creating personalised, impactful experiences that drive engagement and conversion.
You’llwork collaboratively withinyour assigned workstream and across workstreams in the Student 360 Program to realise our ambitions for end-to-end student engagement and service delivery,driving a consistent approach to UX design and user testingbuilding the elements for the workflow navigation components. The role will focus ontransforming the experience for lead generation and conversion, and student lifecycle moments with a specific focus onapplication to enrolthrough the development of simple intuitive user journeys that take prospects/students through their journey to become Macquarie University students,along with ensuring that the employee UX enables efficient and best in class experience.
Conduct user research through interviews, presentations to student advisory boards, data analysis, and usability testing to deeply understand student and business needs.
Collaborate cross-functionally with business owners, SMEs, BAs, Admins, Developers and other stakeholders
You are using Figma or equivalent. Miro should be second nature. You will be an evangelist for Global Experience Macquarie (GEM) gem.mq.edu.au, our Design System, in conjunction with the Salesforce Lightening Design System.
You must also be able to present your designs to senior stakeholdersonline and in-person via workshops and showcases. You welcome aprocess-based approach to UX creation – Empathise, Discover, Ideate, Prototype, Test, handover to Developer, and Validation. You have a high attention to detail, with a mix of creative and analytical problem-solving skills.
