Reporting to the Associate Dean and in close collaboration with SOE Directors, the Associate Director of SOE Technologies & Platforms is responsible for managing the technologies and operational platforms that support the Graduate and Clinical programs within the School of Education. This position ensures excellence in course development, instructor onboarding and support, and platform oversight. In addition, the Associate Director contributes to a wide array of school functions, including event coordination, adjunct employment, and data reporting. This role requires cross-functional collaboration with academic leadership, administrative staff, advisors, and faculty.
50 % of Time: Support for Faculty, Adjuncts, and Administrative Teams
Provide ongoing technical and platform support to faculty, staff, and adjunct instructors.
Oversee training and support resources for adjuncts and students, including support site maintenance.
Serve as liaison to the Deans for departmental coordination and project execution.
Collaborate with the Lead Advisor and Student Support Coordinator to address student and adjunct needs.
Ensure all graduate courses are aligned with best practices for online instruction.
30 % of Time: Instructional Oversight, Onboarding, and Communication
Manage course setup and updates across all graduate programs (excluding ECFA) in Canvas.
Lead training and ongoing professional development for adjunct faculty in collaboration with Deans and Directors.
Coordinate scheduling and implementation of curriculum updates for master’s programs.
Oversee the accurate and timely updating of syllabi, program descriptions, and learning outcomes.
Support adjunct hiring, onboarding, and payroll tasks in coordination with administrative staff.
Lead communication efforts across digital platforms, including social media, newsletters, and events.
20 % of Time: Data Collection and Continuous Improvement
Design and manage data collection and reporting systems to support program assessment and improvement.
Maintain a School of Education annual assessment calendar.
Present yearly data summaries to faculty, staff, and leadership.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Master’s degree required.
Experience in higher education strongly preferred.
Five or more years of public school teaching experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience in evaluating instructional quality.
Background in mentoring teachers or teacher candidates.
Knowledge of MA DESE licensure regulations.
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS), data systems, and online course platforms.
Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive, etc.).
