Join Our Casual Pool – HEW 4 Administrative Support

Are you a proactive and organised administrator looking to contribute to a dynamic university environment? The Faculty of Arts at Macquarie University is establishing a pool of casual administration assistants to provide flexible and high-quality administrative support across our Operations team and broader professional teams.

About the Role
As a member of our casual pool, you may be called upon to assist with a range of activities depending on operational needs. These may include:
General administrative support for school and faculty operations
Assisting with diary management, meeting coordination, and logistics
Providing support for travel processing through central and faculty systems
Assisting with event coordination, room bookings, and catering
Supporting onboarding processes and records management
Responding to general enquiries or escalating as appropriate
Contributing to data entry, reporting, and process improvements
Assignments may vary in duration and scope, and successful candidates will be contacted as opportunities arise.
About You
We’re looking for adaptable individuals who can step in and hit the ground running. You will ideally have:
Previous experience in an administrative or customer service environment
Strong communication and organisational skills
Confidence using Microsoft Office and University systems (e.g. Travel, Finance, Workday – training can be provided)
A collaborative approach and a can-do attitude
