Job Summary
As a highly visible member of the MBA Admissions team, the Senior Associate Director will be responsible for recruiting, evaluating, and yielding highly selective candidates for the working professionals MBA Programs. This position reports to the Director of Student Recruitment and Admissions for the working professionals MBA Programs.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains relationships with prospective students via phone, zoom, email, walk-in, and in-person meetings throughout the application process for working professionals MBA Programs. Continually improves processes associated with these activities to enhance prospective student satisfaction.
- Recruits qualified prospective students into the working professionals MBA Programs applicant pool by presenting at Booth hosted events including, but not limited to, information sessions, lunch and learns, networking events, dinners/receptions across North America and virtual events. Represents Booth at MBA Fairs and Forums and continues engagement with prospective students from these events.
- Oversees strategies from recruitment through matriculation for the working professionals MBA Programs and implement new ideas to streamline processes and increase the applicant pool. Analyzes data and make recommendations for future initiatives.
- Manages overall yield strategy and management for admitted students across the working professionals MBA Programs. Contributes to new ideas, best practices and efforts to attract and yield top candidates to the working professionals MBA Programs. Provides team with yield guidance and monitor performance.
- Serves as a key member in all aspects of the application review process for the working professionals MBA Programs including evaluating applications, nurturing and maintaining the applicant pools, formulating recommendations on suitability of applicants, releasing decisions, and interviewing candidates as needed.
- Oversees the recruiting, training, and managing of the Evening MBA and Weekend MBA Admissions Committee who represent/support crucial recruiting initiatives and conducts interviews of candidates.
- Leverages data analysis and creativity to guide strategy and decision-making that informs recruitment, evaluation, and yield initiatives. Benchmarks Chicago Booth against similar competitors and makes recommendations on ways to enhance Chicago Booth’s applicant pipeline to the working professionals MBA Programs.
- Serves as key Admissions member working with marketing team on advertising for the working Professionals MBA Programs including campaign management, performance tracking, pipeline development, and process improvement.
- Collaborates with a wide range of Booth stakeholders and departments including London and Hong Kong EMBA teams, Student Life, Academic Services, Career Services, Centers, etc.
- Plays a key leadership role by managing direct reports and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. Ensures high levels of productivity and engagement. Sets clear goals and expectations and provides guidance, feedback, and mentorship.
- Provides expertise to expand outreach messaging via alumni clubs and special events and/or reunions. Maintains updated alumni contact records and cultivates new contacts in appropriate industries. Manages portfolio of prospective students that require special handling.
- Manages regional event programming such as receptions and career trek field trips for students. Works independently to expand outreach to employers in the region.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.

- A minimum five years of professional experience in admissions, higher education, or sales.
Technical Skills or Knowledge:
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Background using Technolutions Slate as an applicant management system.
