About the Role
The Buildings & Grounds Labourer performs a variety of tasks involving manual /physical effort on many structures, road and grounds related construction and maintenance work as well as operates special equipment.

Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in areas such as operating equipment or general construction, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Valid BC driver's license (Class 5) and basic computer skills required.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills including ability to follow written directions.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to exercise mature judgment and initiative.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks requiring physical strength and agility.
- Ability to read and interpret Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHIMIS).
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on an on-going and regular basis.
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, and walk for a duration of a scheduled shift.
- Ability to work in small or confined spaces.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Ability to work with hazardous materials.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
